Design flaws in the fuselage have been discovered in 14 Sukhoi Superjet 100 type RRJ-95 aircraft, according to a letter from the "Yakovlev" company to Rosaviatsiya dated May 15, 2025.
The agency has ordered an immediate inspection and, if necessary, repair of the aircraft. Service work is required on 14 aircraft with serial numbers 95104–95117. All aircraft in the batch were produced in 2016.
The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) noted that the "Yakovlev" company, as the aircraft developer, initiated the issuance of a mandatory airworthiness directive for SSJ-100 aircraft, acting in cooperation with Rosaviatsiya.
The document is preventive in nature and aimed at maintaining the airworthiness of the existing fleet of aircraft.
SSJ-100s with the numbers specified in the directive are flown by the airlines "Yamal" (five aircraft), "Azimuth" (one aircraft), and "Russia" (one aircraft). The rest are not actively operated.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that a video of the testing of the new PD-35 aircraft engine has appeared, but there is no aircraft for it yet.
