An experienced MC-21 aircraft, made in a partially import-substituted form, made 19 flights as part of certification tests, the Rostec State Corporation said.
In total, the aircraft, equipped with Russian PD-14 engines and systems, spent 74 hours in the air. The tests have been taking place in Zhukovsky near Moscow since June 26.
To obtain a type certificate for the MC-21, it is planned to make about 220-230 test flights, explained earlier the chief designer of the MC-21 of the Yakovlev company, Vitaly Naryshkin.
Thus, MC-21 completed 8% of the required number of certification flights.
