Russia and China are working on joint projects to create a long-range wide-body aircraft and a heavy helicopter, said Anton Alikhanov, head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

According to him, the countries are actively cooperating in the field of civil aircraft construction.

We are implementing a program for the development, production and after-sales service of a wide-body long-range aircraft, as well as a project to create an advanced civil heavy helicopter.

Russian Helicopters Holding (part of Rostec) signed a contract with Chinese Avicopter in 2021 to develop the AC332 AHL heavy helicopter.

The Russian side will develop a tail rotor, transmission, resource injection and anti-icing system for it. The project implementation period is up to 13 years.

CR929 is a new generation wide-body long-range aircraft being developed by aircraft manufacturers from Russia and China. The CR929–600 version will be able to carry 280 passengers in a three-class configuration over a distance of up to 12,000 km.

Earlier www1.ru reported that unique thrust reverser grids with an electric drive were invented for the PD-14 aircraft engine.
