Russia and China are working on joint projects to create a long-range wide-body aircraft and a heavy helicopter, said Anton Alikhanov, head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
According to him, the countries are actively cooperating in the field of civil aviation.
We are implementing a program for the development, production and after-sales service of a wide-body long-range aircraft, as well as a project to create an advanced civil heavy helicopter.
Russian Helicopters Holding (part of Rostec) signed a contract with Chinese Avicopter in 2021 to develop the AC332 AHL heavy helicopter.
The Russian side will develop a tail rotor, transmission, resource injection and anti-icing system for it. The project implementation period is up to 13 years.
CR929 is a new generation wide-body long-range aircraft being developed by aircraft manufacturers from Russia and China. The CR929–600 version will be able to carry 280 passengers in a three-class configuration over a distance of up to 12,000 km.
