Currently, the fleet of foreign aircraft in Russia numbers about 620 aircraft. Currently, 14 import-substituted MC-21 aircraft are ready. If production rates do not increase, it will take 44 years to replace foreign vessels, but everything is not so clear, said aviation expert, editor-in-chief of the Avia.pro portal, Roman Gusarov.
According to him, in the future, all foreign aircraft need to be replaced with domestic ones. This process is not instantaneous and will take decades, the aviation expert specified.
By the end of next year, I think about 20 will be assembled. The plant will reach production rates of 36 aircraft per year within the next two years. Everything is already in place, everything is there - machines, specialists, space. In general, the planned output in the future is 72 aircraft per year.
The aviation expert himself stated that the delays in the production of the MC-21 aircraft are associated with the "subversive activities of Western partners" seeking to hinder the development of the Russian project.
