The first detailed model of the fifth-generation Su-57 multirole fighter has appeared online. The aircraft is presented in the white and blue color scheme familiar to the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS).
The Su-57 is designed to destroy any ground, air, and surface targets. The aircraft is equipped with the latest complex of onboard equipment, radio-absorbing coating (stealth technology), internal armament, and has a supersonic cruising speed.
The first fighter entered service in 2020, and by 2028 their number will be increased to 76 units.
The thrust-to-weight ratio of the aircraft with the AL-51F1 engine will be more than one unit - 1.15-1.2 with normal take-off weight. Now the parameter is 1.09 with normal take-off weight and 0.97 with take-off weight with full load.
However, the Su-57 also has disadvantages - a combat load of only 4200 kg, the absence of an infrared detection system, which raises doubts about the aircraft's compliance with the fifth generation of fighters.
