The Nizhny Novgorod aircraft building plant "Sokol" will launch 12 new production sites for the production of Il-114-300. In addition to the full cycle of assembly of the under-keel compartment, "Sokol" manufactures parts for aircraft doors.
Also, the Sokol plant put into operation a new production line for the production of Il-114-300. This step significantly improved the quality and efficiency of manufacturing aircraft fuselage sections, ensuring their compliance with modern aviation standards.
Evgeny Egorov, Dean of the Faculty of Management of the RANEPA and Candidate of Economic Sciences, noted that the aviation industry faces a difficult task - to provide airlines with modern aircraft and helicopters in a short time.
Nizhny Novgorod, with its rich traditions of aircraft construction, makes a significant contribution to the implementation of this task. Our enterprises are included in such flagship projects as МС-21, Sukhoi Superjet and Ил-114. This workload of Nizhny Novgorod enterprises ensures the growth of the economy and our region.
Egorov recalled that Nizhny Novgorod's "Hydromash" supplies landing gear for the Il-114-300, "Ruspolimet" participated in the creation of the promising PD-8 engine for the Sukhoi Superjet, and Nizhny Novgorod's NPP "Polet" supplied communication equipment for the same aircraft.
