The Kazan Aviation Plant named after S.P. Gorbunov (KAZ) has undertaken to produce at least 10 Tu-214 aircraft per year, according to the publication "Business Online".
Tu-214 is a medium-range passenger aircraft with a capacity of up to 210 passengers. The former General Director of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), Yuri Slyusar, noted that by 2030, it is planned to build 115 Tu-214 aircraft at KAZ, allocating92 billion rubles for this purpose over the next two years.
According to him, KAZ should first start producing 10 passenger aircraft per year, then 20.
At the same time, KAZ continues to face serious difficulties in the production of Tu-214. Onlythe first new aircraft has reached the final assembly stage, although initially it was planned to deliver three aircraft back in 2023.
