The Vympel Shipyard (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation) has completed the restoration of a MiG-21 aircraft. The aircraft will become a new landmark of Rybinsk.
On Thursday, July 31, the MiG-21 aircraft, restored at the enterprise, took its place on a pedestal on Gagarin Street. The fighter was taken out of the enterprise's territory and transported along the ring road to the installation site.
Using a mobile crane, it was unloaded, the wings were installed, and then the aircraft was fixed on the pedestal.
MiG-21 is the most common supersonic aircraft in history, as well as the most mass-produced 2nd generation fighter, with the troop nickname "Dove of Peace."
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the aviation pump for MC-21, SJ-100 and Tu-214 became 17% lighter.
