Russian Helicopters Holding (part of Rostec) has delivered 10 new Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters to operators. The machines were built under a contract with the State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK) for the supply of 86 helicopters.
The cabin of the civilian Mi-8 is equipped with 23 passenger seats, with separate spaces for installing medical modules.
The machines have been modified for the installation of an external suspension, which has expanded their capabilities for transporting cargo, emergency and medical evacuation.
Key regional operators are Taiga Airlines in the Sakhalin Region and Polar Airlines in Yakutia. Two helicopters were received by the Yeltsovka aviation enterprise, which operates flights in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Novosibirsk and Tomsk Regions, Yamalo-Nenets and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrugs.
Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters can be equipped with additional external fuel tanks, with a volume of 915 liters each.
