AvtoVAZ has published a list of cars that the factory considers competitors to their new product. The main rivals named are the Changan Alsvin with a 1.5 engine and a robotic gearbox, priced at 1.85 million rubles, and the BAIC U5 Plus with a 1.5 engine on a CVT, priced at 1.731 million rubles.
The list of competitors includes not only sedans. For the Lada Iskra SW Cross variant, the competitors named are the Chery Tiggo 4 with a 1.5 engine with a manual transmission, the Solaris KRX with a 1.6 engine also on a manual, and the Changan CS35 with a 1.4-turbo engine on a robot.
The recommended price from the factory for Lada Iskra ranges from 1.249 million to 1.799 million rubles, depending on the configuration and version.
