Refinement for 802 million rubles: Mi-171A3 helicopter to receive upgraded fuselage and fuel tank

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation has announced a tender for R&D

The multi-purpose Mi-171A3 helicopter (developed by the Russian Helicopters holding) will be modernized to improve its performance characteristics. The corresponding tender worth 802 million rubles was announced by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

The development work (R&D) involves increasing the service life of the fuselage to 3,000 hours and the fuel tank to 1,000 hours, as well as expanding the operational capabilities of the Mi-171A3 in icing conditions.

The contractor will develop and manufacture a stand for conducting fuselage fatigue tests. As a result, it is necessary to obtain Main Change Approval (MCA). The modernization of the Mi-171A3 must be completed by December 1, 2027.
