Despite the long commissioning period, the new Russian MC-21 aircraft will become a machine in which more than 90% of the components are domestic. This can be considered an unconditional victory for the aviation industry, said Yuri Sytnik, Honored Pilot of Russia.
He recalled that Russia had not produced its own aviation equipment for 25 years, although it could compete with Airbus and Boeing.
It is clear that reaching the level of "Boeing" and "Airbus" in Russia at the moment does not seem possible. Because our car is still in its infancy. It is not a fact that it will be released in three, five years, they will bring it to mind, maybe in 10 years. But the most important thing is that this is a Russian-made car. production. And this is a great victory not only for the aviation industry, but also a great victory for the government and the president himself.
Sytnik noted that he had good impressions from flying the MC-21 simulator. In particular, the ergonomics in the cockpit are no worse than those of Western aircraft.
This car will be interesting for the crew and for passengers. Everything that concerns the maintenance of this machine: the supply of spare parts, the design and factory support of the machine - these issues have not yet been resolved. And if they are not resolved, then the car will be brought up to standard, maybe even 10-15 years.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the MC-21 aircraft flew for the first time to test navigation systems as a regular aircraft.
