Aviation Revival: 30 SP-30 Aircraft to Replace Yak-52s to be Built in Taganrog

Customers for the aircraft at a price of 14 million rubles are also outside of Russia

The Taganrog-based enterprise "First OKB" has received an order for 30 SP-30 training aircraft to replace the Soviet Yak-52, including foreign buyers, said Yuri Slyusar, acting governor of the Rostov region.

According to him, DOSAAF also appreciated the flight and technical characteristics of the SP-30 and intends to buy 180 such machines. The first three training aircraft will soon be sent to airfields in the Tver and Moscow regions to train pilots.

The aircraft is of interest, it is replacing the Yak-52 aircraft — one of the most massive training aircraft in history. And now there are already 30 aircraft in the order book, including buyers outside of Russia.

SP-30 — the first Russian training aircraft after the post-Soviet period, consisting of more than 80% of domestic components. Over the past two years, more than 20 such aircraft have been built, including for delivery to Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. The cost of the aircraft — from 14 million rubles.

Earlier www1.ru reported that 14 MS-21 aircraft were assembled at Rostec factories to replace Airbus and Boeing.
