A strategic Tu-160 aircraft was spotted in the sky over Kazan on the afternoon of June 12. Photos were shared by residents of the capital of Tatarstan.
The shots were taken in the area of the Kirov Dam. It is unknown why the plane was in the sky over the capital of Tatarstan.
The "White Swan" is a strategic supersonic bomber; the Tu-160 can carry missiles and bombs with a nuclear warhead on board. The aircraft is one of the components of the Russian nuclear triad. Strategic Tu-160 bombers are produced at the Kazan Aviation Plant named after S.P. Gorbunov.
