The crews of the corvette "Stoikiy" of Project 20380 and the small anti-submarine ship "Urengoy" of Project 1331M conducted a planned tactical exercise to search for and destroy a submarine of a mock enemy with the conditional use of anti-submarine weapons systems in the Baltic Sea.
The sailors practiced attacking underwater by performing conditional torpedo firing. The exercise took place in the Baltic Sea while the ships were performing planned combat training tasks in designated areas.
In the process of the anti-submarine exercise, before conducting the torpedo attack, the sailors practiced searching for, detecting, and maintaining contact with the submarine in cooperation with the Ka-27 anti-submarine helicopter.
The armament of Project 20380 ships includes launchers for anti-ship missiles "Uran" or "Caliber-NK", an anti-aircraft missile system, artillery installations, machine gun installations, and grenade launchers. They have anti-torpedo and anti-submarine protection.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the flagship of the Navy, the cruiser "Admiral Kuznetsov," may be scrapped.
