The Vikhr missiles in service with Russian combat helicopters are capable of effectively countering various targets, including drones, representatives of the Kalashnikov concern reported.
The munitions can be used in difficult weather conditions and at any time of the day.
"Vikhrs" can destroy enemy attack aircraft, helicopters, and UAVs, as well as enemy fortifications, strong points, firing points, and manpower. Moreover, guided missiles effectively engage targets at any time of the day and in limited adverse weather conditions.
The concern added that specialists from the design bureau are constantly improving the product, taking into account the experience of its combat use.
Earlier in July, the concern reported that as part of a state contract, the Russian Ministry of Defense transferred a batch of Vikhr-1 missiles. The warhead of the supersonic missile can penetrate up to 750 mm of armor behind dynamic protection.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the flagship of the Russian Navy, the cruiser "Admiral Kuznetsov," may be scrapped.
