An interactive map of public Wi-Fi hotspots has appeared in the Pskov region. It will help residents and tourists find places with free internet, such as cafes, government agencies, and banks.
The map is available at wifi-map.pskov.ru. Regional authorities are inviting businesses to connect to the system to increase the number of access points.
Governor Mikhail Vedernikov noted that temporary problems with mobile internet in the region are related to security measures for important facilities, which are also in effect in other regions of Russia.
The map currently displays the first points – new ones will be added soon, and work to expand the regional internet network is ongoing.
According to the governor, if a business wants to organize an access point, the government is ready to assist in providing an authorization system.
I urge entrepreneurs of the Pskov region to be proactive and make the internet, and therefore their services, closer to the people.
