India may modernize the Russian multi-functional fifth-generation Su-57 fighters by installing Virupaksha radars of its own production on them instead of the N036 Belka.
Journalists clarified that Virupaksha is larger in size than the N036 Belka, since it was originally designed to equip the larger Su-30MKI fighter.
MWM suggests that the Indian side will adapt Virupaksha to the capabilities of the Su-57. The first Su-57 aircraft that India may receive will likely be supplied with Russian N036 Belka radars.
Earlier, information appeared that Russia offered India to implement the production of the latest multi-functional fifth-generation Su-57E fighters on the territory of the country. The agreement of the parties may implyfull transfer of technology, there is no official confirmation of this information.
