The first combat vehicles of the self-propelled artillery unit (SPG) "Hyacinth-K" have entered the Russian troops. The first reviews of the new hope of domestic artillery have been received from war correspondents.
Journalists reported that the vehicle turned out to be very mobile, despite its size and weight. The self-propelled gun turns around without problems, although you "expect clumsiness" from it. The vehicle rides very smoothly even on very bad roads.
The armored cabin is designed for 5 people. Deployment takes one minute.
A compass is not needed, the era of the tripod is a thing of the past. The vehicle itself orients itself in space, calculates the angle and the weather. Loading and firing are manual, old-fashioned. But the rammer is chain-driven.
If all the electronics stop working, everything can be done manually using the panorama. The electronics are powered by a separate energy circuit that does not depend on the chassis and engine. Emergency shutdown is also provided, when the "Hyacinth-K" can start driving away from the position immediately after the shot. The developer is in constant contact with the crew in the mode of "what else can we improve with you".
The main thing is speed and maneuver. It's all there. The declared iring range is 30 km or more. The work where we were present was from a very comfortable, unusually comfortable point for artillery in our depth.
The fuel consumption of the self-propelled gun is 1 liter per 1 km. Drive - 8x8. It drove into the mud "up to the windows" repeatedly and confidently drove out. The "grip" of the chassis is simply incredible. At the same time, the center of gravity is in the center of the platform, and not at the rear, as one might assume.
