Ту-214 жив, а не мёртв: коммерческие поставки самолёта стартуют в 2026 году

Kazan Aviation Plant needs to increase production rates

Tu-214 aircraft will not begin to enter airlines until 2026. Prior to that, the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) will fulfill state orders, said the head of the corporation, Vadim Badeha.

So far, the stated plans include a contract for 11 aircraft with Aeroflot and interest from S7, GTLK, IrAero, and UVT-Aero. The production rate remains slow; in 2024, one restored aircraft was transferred to the Red Wings fleet.

The program until 2030 envisages 115 aircraft, but this is more of a guideline than an exact plan. Aeroflot is waiting for a version with a cockpit for two-pilot operation, which still needs to be finalized. The first import-substituted Tu-214s have been flying since November 2024.

Production in Kazan is being scaled up, but the plant will have to move out of the "1–2 aircraft per year" mode. While the program is stalling, the shift to 2026 is an attempt to take a pause and rebuild.

However, judging by the current pace and the lack of serial deliveries, it is not a fact that the Tu-214 will go to airlines immediately from 2026. The date looks more like a plan than a guaranteed deadline.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that import-substituted parts for the SJ-100 will become cheaper, although they used to cost twice as much as those for Airbus.
