No price too high: Billions spent on parts for MC-21 and SJ-100 amazed test pilot

Bazykin surprised by the cost of developing parts for aircraft at 4 billion rubles

In 2.5 years, Russia must develop new components for all types of domestic civil aircraft — pumps, filters, converters, generators, and much more.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has allocated 4 billion rubles for this and expects that the units will work more efficiently than those currently used. The work must be completed by November 15, 2027.

Test pilot Vadim Bazykin was very surprised by the cost of the developments.

Does everything listed in the purchases — hoses, harnesses, electrical equipment, passenger seats, etc. — all the "simplest" things require billions of rubles in costs?

According to the tender documentation, it is necessary to develop, among other things, pipeline displacement compensators in life support systems, hydraulic system units and an autonomous electro-hydraulic drive, plate pulsation dampers in the hydraulic system, automatic control of a turboprop engine with a capacity of up to 1100 hp, a static starter start converter for use on the PD-35 engine, and much more for aircraft.

The winner of the competition must develop units for all types of civil aircraft: long-range (up to 250 tons, Il-96), medium-range (up to 90 tons, MC-21, Tu-214, Tu-204), short-range (up to 50 tons, SJ-100, Aurus), as well as small civil aviation aircraft ("Osvey", "Baikal", TVRS-44) and helicopters.

Earlier www1.ru reported that features of the Russian Su-34 and Su-24 were noticed in the first picture of the unique 6th generation J-36 fighter.
