Photos of the completion of the newest small missile ship (MRK) "Stupinets" of project 12418 cipher "Molniya" have appeared online. The warship is in the dock of the Vympel shipyard (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation) in Rybinsk.
According to the source, initially two MRKs were built in Rybinsk for one of the foreign customers. After refusing to purchase them, the Russian Navy became interested in the boats, and weapon systems necessary for military sailors were installed on them.
Boats of project 12418 carry the Uran anti-ship missile system with Kh-35 missiles, the AK-176 artillery mount and the AK-630M anti-aircraft system.
The Mineral-ME radar complex, the MR-123-02 Bagira fire control radar system and the Pozitiv-ME radar are also installed. Presumably, "Stupinets" will join the Caspian Flotilla.
