The modernized Su-30SM2 fighters, which the Belarusian army will receive next week from Russia, are fully import-substituted. This was announced by the Minister of Defense of the Republic for Armaments, Andrei Fedin.
According to him, this contract has been implemented over several years. The designers of PJSC "Yakovlev" created a fully import-substituted fighter.
After all, it was originally developed using French avionics. Today, it is a completely domestic Russian fighter, which is entering service with the Armed Forces of Belarus thanks to joint work.
Rostec noted that the fighter's radar characteristics have significantly changed. Since there are long-range weapons, long-range detection and tracking are needed, as well as all the modes that ensure the operation of these weapons.
The detection range has been increased almost twice compared to the Su-30SM, both for ground targets, air targets and sea targets.
Earlier www1.ru reported that new Tor-M2 SAM systems will be adapted to destroy kamikaze drones.
