The Il-96-400T aircraft, developed by the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec), are expanding their flight geography, successfully mastering new long-haul routes. This was reported in the UAC.
The return to service of the second Il-96-400T aircraft was the result of a large and complex work of workshops and services of the branch of PJSC "Il"-VASO, successfully carried out the restoration of the airworthiness of both aircraft, the corporation noted.
At the same time, the main burden fell on the final assembly and painting shops, the flight test station, but to one degree or another, all divisions were involved.
From our side and the customer's side, we did a tremendous job in terms of purchasing and repairing about five hundred PCI items, repainting. It was necessary to carry out structural improvements, complete more than thirty bulletins. As a result, at the beginning of this year, the second Il-96-400T was put into operation.
The Il-96-400T is a specialized cargo modification of the Il-96-400 aircraft. The long flight range, the absence of portholes, the wide side door and the extended fuselage make it an ideal aircraft for solving transport problems. The Il-96-400T is capable of carrying up to 92 tons of cargo over a distance of 5,000 km, and with a load of 40 tons - up to 11,550 km.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russia in aviation will be able to do with its own developments: they did not copy, but made it better.
