Shipbuilders of JSC "Zelenodolsk Plant named after A.M. Gorky" (part of JSC "Shipbuilding Corporation" "Ak Bars") are preparing to launch a new high-speed passenger hydrofoil ship (HHS) «Meteor-2020» of project 03830. The solemn launching ceremony is scheduled for May 30, the company's press service reported.
The «Meteor-2020» project was created by the «Si Tech» bureau. The vessel has a number of advantages compared to existing HHS and fully meets international requirements for comfort and safety.
The modernized foil system provides improved performance. Special attention was also paid to the conditions for passengers and crew during long voyages, lasting 8 hours or more.
Technical characteristics of «Meteor-2020»:
- Length — 36 meters.
- Width — 11 meters.
- Passenger capacity — 122 people.
- Crew — 6 people.
- Voyage duration — 13 hours.
- Range — 700 km.
- Average speed — 77 km/h.
