Ulyanovsk paratroopers restored a monument dedicated to the feats of the Guards Fighter Aviation Division in the form of a MiG-21 aircraft in the village of Askania-Nova. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The paratroopers strengthened the base on which the plane is held, washed the fighter itself and restored the stars and its number on it.
The MiG-21 monument was erected in memory of the heroism of the unit under the command of Alexander Pokryshkin, which fought air battles with German pilots.
