The authors of the Youtube channel "Combat Crew" took the new Lada Niva Sport from AvtoVAZ for a test drive. Experts noticed a number of malfunctions in the car, which could seriously reduce interest in it.
Bloggers noticed a strange backlash in the steering, faulty wipers, and air conditioning problems. After 1800 kilometers of travel, the smell of gasoline appeared in the cabin, and when disassembled, it turned out that a self-tapping screw was screwed into the fuel pipe, and fuel was dripping in streams next to the hot exhaust.
The declared sports rear suspension also turned out to be frankly unsafe: flimsy rods, soft silent blocks, and crooked installation. All this not only worsens handling, but also directly affects safety.
When driving, the rear of the Lada Niva Sport literally "wobbles", and the rods are deformed even under moderate loads. After maneuvering on a dirt road, the steering wheel began to pull to the side - it turned out that the steering rod was bent. The stabilizer also does not perform its function and simply presses on the brake system pipes.
Even in terms of "sport" - the feelings are mixed. The 16-valve engine requires high revs to show at least some dynamics. Acceleration - only after 4,500 rpm.
