Russian autopilot — at its best: the SJ-100 Superjet aircraft has made a flight with a new onboard system

The crew checked the basic autopilot modes — altitude gain, horizontal flight and descent

The first prototype of the SJ-100 performed another flight, during which the crew evaluated the automatic control system. This was reported by the press service of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC).

The flight time was 4 hours 10 minutes. The crew checked the basic autopilot modes — altitude gain, horizontal flight, descent, turns to a given course, given vertical speed, and others.

The flight took place at altitudes up to 12,200 and in the speed range from the minimum permissible to a speed of 310 knots and a Mach number of 0.81.

The crew evaluates the test results as positive and is preparing to perform certification flights on the automatic control system.
