The first flight of the fully import-substituted passenger aircraft "Superjet" SJ-100 will take place on April 25. This was announced by the Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov.
Colleagues have scheduled the flight for April 25.
According to Alikhanov, a third SJ-100 will soon join the tests, and the tests of the import-substituted aircraft should end by the end of the year. The Ministry of Industry and Trade expects deliveries of the SJ-100 to customers to begin in early 2026.
Last Sunday, April 13, the "Superjet" climbed to its maximum possible altitude of 12,200 meters — the practical ceiling for this type of aircraft. The flight lasted about three hours.
Rostec emphasized that the "Superjet" SJ-100 aircraft with domestic PD-8 engines will be certified as early as autumn 2025.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the characteristics of the new Russian Tango aircraft, which will enter mass production no earlier than 2027, have become known.
