Assembly of another section of the latest MC-21 aircraft completed at Irkutsk Aviation Plant

The section was removed from the general assembly slipway for transfer to the coating production

The assembly of section F2 of the next serial aircraft MS.0026 has been completed in workshop 205 of the Irkutsk Aviation Plant. This was reported by the press service of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC).

The section was removed from the general assembly slipway for transfer to the coating production. Then it will go to workshop 246, where, as part of the assembly of the front semi-fuselage, it will be docked with section F1, which has already been assembled in workshop 205.

The next task of workshop 205 is to complete the assembly of sections F4 and F4A of the MS.0026 aircraft. Also, workshop 205 is already working on the MS.0027 aircraft. Section 1 of the front landing gear bay of section F1 and door openings are being assembled.

Earlier, Rostec reported that the MC-21 aircraft was given the task of competing with Boeing and Airbus.
