The advanced tracked version of the Pantsir-S1, created to operate in difficult off-road conditions and cover motorized rifle units on the GM-352M1E chassis with increased cross-country capability, received a new radar station (radar) 1RS2-3.
The 1RS2-3 tracking and guidance system with a phased array antenna can detect both large aerial targets and small ones like GMLRS projectiles. The improved detection radar has effective range and high noise immunity.
Interception of aerial targets is possible at a maximum range of up to 35 km thanks to the new two-stage 57E6M missile, the speed of which reaches 5.5 Mach. It received a more powerful booster stage and improved aerodynamic characteristics.
The missile's warhead uses a kinetic defeat system called "Zavesa". At the same time, the complex can still simultaneously attack up to four targets, but the overall firepower has increased due to the faster 57E6M missiles. Additionally, small-sized anti-aircraft missiles 19Ya6 are provided, specially designed to destroy drones.
The missiles have a range of up to 7 km, but allow for a fourfold increase in ammunition, which reduces the likelihood of its rapid depletion during a massive attack.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Vysokotochka handed over a new batch of Pantsir-S SAM systems to the Ministry of Defense.
