Sample unique engine for Russia's first high-speed train is fully ready

Sinara Group to supply Russian Railways with the first two head samples of the HSR train

Russia has developed a sample of the country's first high-speed train, and testing of the unit will begin within a month. This was announced by Vitaly Votolevsky, Executive Director of Sinara – Transport Machines.

The top manager called the creation of a modern engine for such a train a "huge challenge".

We are on schedule for the creation of the train, in addition to construction, we are also working on the components themselves. One of the key components is the bogie, this year we expect to receive a certificate for a non-motorized bogie, and in the summer we will send a motorized bogie for testing.

Sinara Group is to supply Russian Railways with the first two head samples of the HSR train and 41 trains under contracts with GTLK and HSR-Two Capitals. According to Votolevsky, new buildings are currently under construction for the plant's production.

In accordance with government decisions last year, it is planned to attract preferential loans in the amount of 34 billion rubles for the construction of a new plant and the preparation of facilities, which will allow the plant to be built and pay off.

The electric train is being developed for operation on a specially designed HSR, capable of speeds up to 360 km/h. The train will have a dual-system design for 3 kW DC and 25 kW AC, as well as an eight-car composition with the possibility of operation in a double mode. The train will be adapted to operate in a wide temperature range — from -40 to +40 °C.
