The General Director of KamAZ, Sergey Kogogin, visited the forge plant. The main focus was on the implementation of the manufacturing execution system (MES). Kogogin inspected three key production buildings.
In the metal cutting building, an electronic terminal for timekeeping was presented. Employees can use a mobile application to manage transportation. These tools will improve coordination and increase work efficiency.
In the forge and press building No. 1, the main novelty was QR codes on the presses. In the event of equipment failure, the MES system will automatically transmit information to the repair service, which will allow workers to quickly respond to malfunctions and monitor production processes.
Kogogin emphasized that the implementation of the MES system is important not only for management, but also for workers. He added that they have begun to actively use new technologies. Kogogin said that the plant has already formed its own philosophy. This has a positive effect on improving production processes.
The plant plans to implement equipment condition monitoring in other buildings, as well as launch a job exchange. It will allow workers to choose additional tasks, including washing and repairing equipment. This will increase the flexibility and efficiency of the plant.
