The crew of the large anti-submarine ship of the Northern Fleet "Vice-Admiral Kulakov" of Project 1155 conducted firing practice in combat training ranges in the Barents Sea.
During the exercises, the personnel of the combat teams practiced tasks in detecting, tracking and destroying an air target using the Kinzhal anti-aircraft missile system.
An Il-38 anti-submarine aircraft set up the air target. In addition to missile firing, the crew performed maneuvers to defend the ship, using passive jamming systems.
The armament of the ship "Vice-Admiral Kulakov" includes two four-container launchers of Rastrob missile-torpedoes, 8 launchers of the Kinzhal anti-aircraft missile system (64 missiles), two 100 mm AK-100 artillery mounts, 4 six-barreled 30 mm AK-630M machine guns, RBU-6000 rocket bomb launchers. There are 2 Ka-27 helicopters on board.
