In 2024, the volume of data leaks from financial companies increased to 410 million lines, which is 250 million more than in 2023. Among the stolen information were client names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, credit history, and other personal data, according to the "Solar" Group of Companies.
The total volume of leaks amounted to more than 410 million lines of data. And in terms of this indicator, the financial industry became the most vulnerable among other industries, surpassing even the public sector.
In terms of the number of information leaks, the financial sector ranked first, ahead of government companies and retail chains, which took second and third places, respectively. The top 10 also included service companies, insurers, sports-related organizations, as well as medical institutions, construction companies, telecommunications firms, and educational institutions.
In 2024, 83 thousand incidents related to illegal transactions were identified.
In 2024, Roskomnadzor recorded 135 cases of personal data leaks containing more than 710 million records.
