HX-2 German-made kamikaze drones with an autonomous target selection and acquisition system based on artificial intelligence for operation in complex jamming environments may soon appear on the line of combat contact. Military expert Evgeny Damantsev spoke about what means the Russian military will cope with the new threat.
The analyst drew attention to the fact that the HX-2 is a kamikaze drone capable of independently finding a target even in difficult weather conditions with a range of up to 100 km (more than the Russian Lancet) and a maximum speed of up to 220 km/h.
The main means of countering HX-2 drones are combat electromagnetic microwave complexes of directed suppression, which disable the soldering and various solid-state controllers of the UAV guidance and control system.
The analyst also called for the use of automated turret anti-aircraft machine gun systems based on rapid-fire aircraft machine guns GShG-7.62 and YakB-12.7 with gearless drives on torque motors, as well as the use of laser-beam counteraction systems with a power of 30 to 100 kW.
Earlierwww1.ru reported that the latest drones "Goliath-R", "Karakurt-R" and "Quasimachta" from Kalashnikov will land in Abu Dhabi.
