Russian military personnel have developed a new system for combating unmanned aerial vehicles. They combined four Kalashnikov AK-74M assault rifles into a single fire system.
The footage that appeared on the Web shows that the system is equipped with a thermal imager with the image displayed on a separate monitor.
At the same time, it is not known exactly how the system operator will aim at maneuvering drones. The capacity of the magazines is also questionable, the AK-74M has 30 rounds each, which together gives 90 shots "at a time".
AK-74M characteristics:
- Weight of the equipped — 3.6 kg
- Cartridge — 5.45 mm by 39 mm
- Rate of fire — 600 rounds per minute
- Initial bullet speed — 900 m/s
- Maximum bullet range — 3150 m
