The first foreign customer of the Su-57 fighter jet will receive the aircraft and begin its operation in 2025. This was announced by the head of Rosoboronexport, Alexander Mikheev.
The first foreign customer of the advanced fifth-generation Su-57E multirole fighter will begin operating this aircraft in 2025.
The company is demonstrating the Su-57 at the international air show Aero India 2025, which is taking place from February 10 to 14 in Bangalore.
The Su-57 was developed by Sukhoi (part of UAC), and it is manufactured at the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant (KnAAZ). The Su-57 is a fifth-generation multirole fighter designed to destroy all types of aerial targets in long-range and close-range combat, and to engage ground and surface targets of the enemy while overcoming air defense systems. Its first flight took place on January 29, 2010.
