Russian military forces have begun using balloons in conjunction with Geran-2 kamikaze drones to overload the target channels of air defense systems.
Journalists noted that flights of Russian probes or balloons were recorded in the sky.
These aeronautical actions are synchronized with attacks by Russian Geran-2 drones, and the probes themselves are equipped with corner reflectors. On air defense radars, they look like missiles or bombers.
The author suggested that a "penny-worth" balloon with a corner reflector could become a target for the Patriot anti-aircraft system, which uses missiles costing 2-3 million dollars.
