The crew of the diesel-electric submarine "Magadan" of Project 636.6 code "Varshavyanka" of the Pacific Fleet (TOF) during the exercises performed a deep-sea dive to a depth of 240 m in the Avacha Bay in Kamchatka. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
During the training activities, the submarine crew checked the operation of all mechanisms and systems of the submarine, and also worked out the algorithm of actions when controlling the ship at great depths.
After that, "Magadan" successfully surfaced and continued the activities in accordance with the fleet's combat training plan. Representatives of the fleet added that the task at sea was provided by the corvette "Gremyashchiy" and the rescue vessel "Georgy Kozmin".
The Magadan submarine, capable of carrying Kalibr missiles, was accepted into the Pacific Fleet in October 2021. A year after acceptance, the crew made an inter-fleet passage along the Northern Sea Route and arrived in Vladivostok to its permanent base.
