Russian kamikaze drones have begun to be equipped with a high-explosive fragmentation warhead (HE-Frag) with a mass of 90 kg. Previously, drones used warheads weighing 50 kg.
Military analyst Evgeny Damantsev noted that the increase in combat mass negatively affected the range of loitering munitions.
The radius has decreased from 1800 to 1200 km, these parameters are sufficient to hit target objects. A warhead weighing 90 kg will cause much more significant damage than 50 kg.
The Russian military also modernized the Geran, equipping them with SIM cards and antennas. The modernization has improved the accuracy of kamikaze drone attacks.
