An improved antenna operating in a wide range of ultrahigh frequency radio waves has been developed at the Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI).
This antenna can become the basis for the development of more complex directional antennas, for example, for efficient digital television reception. Since it operates in a wide frequency band, all channels will show equally successfully with it.
To create the antenna, two closely spaced vibrators connected in antiphase were used. Changing the lengths of the vibrators made it possible to obtain the required input impedance and frequency range from 500 to 800 MHz.
In the future, scientists plan to take this solution as a basis and create a directional antenna that emits and receives radio waves in certain directions.
Earlierwww1.ru reported that "Reshetnev"is developing a new technology for creating precision antenna reflectors for satellites.
