Russian tank units are actively using the "Yolochka" electronic warfare (EW) system, thanks to which the military manages to protect armored vehicles from FPV drone strikes.
Our EW is unique, we protect our tanks. It drops both FPVs and aircraft-type drones. Not a single "bird" gets through.
The serviceman clarified that the complex has been in use for about two months. The "Yolochka" is installed in the back of a pickup truck, which accompanies the tank on every combat mission and covers it with a dome, upon entering which the drones lose control.
In one of the latest combat sorties, a tank under the cover of "Yolochka" fired two shots from a closed firing position and returned to its base without damage.
Earlier www1.ru reported that special units have been created in Russia to protect rear facilities from UAVs.
