The Lada B-Cross crossover, which is currently under development, will become one of the most unified cars in the AvtoVAZ lineup. Its design uses 360 elements, of which 135 are taken from the Lada Vesta. This will significantly reduce the cost of creating and producing the new model.
The use of components that have already proven themselves in the production of Lada Vesta will help AvtoVAZ speed up the launch of the new model on the assembly line. In addition, the unification of parts will make repairs more accessible and easier.
The Lada B-Cross crossover will become a significant addition to the brand's model range. Its appearance will strengthen the brand's position in the popular SUV segment. The official presentation of the model will take place in the near future.
In addition, AvtoVAZ is developing another crossover model Lada Т-134 based on the Lada Vesta. This model is based on the Niva-3 concept, created by Renault specialists. In 2027, it is planned to release a minivan based on the Lada Vesta, which will be very similar to the B+ Cross. 20 billion rubles have been allocated for the implementation of this project.
AvtoVAZ saved on the new model, but wrote off 20 billion rubles.
Earlier, the first photos of the pre-production all-terrain wagon Lada Iskra SW Cross appeared. The new model was shown to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
In the first quarter of 2025, mass production of Lada Iskra will start. This model will occupy a niche between Granta and Vesta. The car will be equipped with 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engines with a capacity of 90 and 106 horsepower. Depending on the configuration, Lada Iskra will be available with a Chinese variator or a six-speed manual transmission.
