Last year, Kaluga plants started mass production of cars. This was announced by the Governor of the Kaluga Region, Vladislav Shapsha.
In 2024, 13 thousand passenger cars and 2 thousand trucks were assembled in the region.
But this year we expect a multiple increase in production in the automotive cluster. And a significant increase in its share in the region's industrial production.
The industrial production index returned to pre-sanction levels and amounted to about 110% at the end of the year.
Four new industries were launched in the region, and the region's investment portfolio was replenished with 29 projects with a total investment of 74 billion rubles. The third site of the Kaluga special economic zone appeared in the Babyninsky district, where pharmaceutical enterprises will be built.
What do these figures give the region? The growth of own revenues of the consolidated budget of the region amounted to about 20%.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Avtomobilnye Tekhnologii plant in Kaluga is in full swing preparing for the serial production of the Haval M6 car. The first car kits have already arrived at the enterprise, and assembly will begin in the near future.
