The "Automobile Technologies" plant in Kaluga is preparing for the serial production of Haval M6. The first car kits have already been delivered to the enterprise, and assembly will begin soon.
Information that the model would no longer be assembled in Tula appeared in November, when the crossover received a new Vehicle Type Approval. Later, the press service of the Chinese brand confirmed that the production of M6 would be moved to another city.
The intention to assemble crossovers at the plant in the Kaluga region was first reported by Governor Vladislav Shapsha. At that time, he only mentioned that this brand is very popular in Russia, but did not name it.
Haval M6 is the second most affordable crossover of the brand, officially presented on the Russian market, after Jolion. The length of the car is 4664 mm, and the distance between the axles is 2680 mm. The basic configuration includes a 1.5-liter engine with a capacity of 143 horsepower.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Haval plans to increase its model range in Russia with hybrid cars. In the near future, the Great Wall plant in the Tula region will begin assembling the Haval H-Dog crossover.
