The Russian Railways (RZD) holding and Zheldorremmash company have signed an agreement for the maintenance of traction rolling stock from 2025 to 2034. The contract has been concluded for such a long term for the first time.
Russian Railways' need for medium and major repairs of locomotives is about 4,000 sections per year. This amount of work should be accompanied by the development of appropriate capacities and competencies among our partners who provide maintenance services for rolling stock.
The document guarantees Russian Railways the timely repair of rolling stock. Zheldorremmash receives a predictable amount of work and production load for its factories for a long period.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that trials of a new model of the Finist electric train have begun.
