Experts from "SberAuto" have presented a list of the most sought-after cars among Russians in 2024. Both new cars and cars in the secondary market were taken into account. Here are the details:
In 2024, the most popular cars were those of the LADA, Kia, and Hyundai brands. Domestic cars occupy a significant share in the sales structure: the LADA brand accounts for 15% of the total number of transactions, followed by Kia with 9%, Hyundai with 7%, and Volkswagen and Toyota, each with 6%.
In the used car segment, two LADA models are in first place: Granta, with a median price of 969 thousand rubles, and Vesta with a price of 1.2 million rubles. Kia Rio closes the top three with a median price of 1.1 million rubles. The top five most popular used cars also include Hyundai Solaris (995 thousand rubles) and Ford Focus (780 thousand rubles).
As for new cars, "SberAuto" highlights the five most popular models based on the results of 2024 with their median prices: Lada Granta (1.0 million rubles), Lada Vesta (1.6 million rubles), the Lada Niva family (1.2 million rubles), Haval Jolion (2.3 million rubles), and Geely Monjaro (3.6 million rubles).
It is worth recalling that, in addition to AvtoVAZ products, a line of Haval crossovers is produced in Russia, and the assembly of cars under the Solaris brand has also been established (Solaris HS — a renamed Hyundai Solaris).
