The Federal Budget Institution «Administration of the Ob-Irtysh Basin of Inland Waterways» will carry out routine repairs of 172 vessels, medium repairs of 56 vessels, and major repairs of 31 vessels. This was reported in the press service of the institution.
The figures for ship repair remain practically unchanged from year to year, but, for example, this year medium repairs will cover nine more fleet units than last year. Most of the vessels — 35 units — will be repaired in the Khanty-Mansiysk District Administration of Waterways and Navigation during this ship repair campaign; in this branch, the time for medium repair has come for 10 fleet units.
Medium repair of vessels is carried out every five years. It includes replacement of the hull plating and framing, repair of the propulsion and steering complex, main and auxiliary engines, and ship radio and electrical equipment.
In this ship repair campaign, the most labor-intensive will be the replacement of the hull plating of the barge-platform «MP-3167» of project R-56 (Surgut RVPiS). In addition, as part of the major repair of the fleet, large-scale work is being carried out to replace ship diesel generators and diesel-reduction units.
All ship repair work is planned to be completed by the opening of navigation in 2025.
