If located on the upper floors of apartment buildings, the Russian Kornet anti-tank complex will fully realize its potential. This was stated by military expert Evgeny Damantsev.
From a firing position on the 7-10 floor of a high-rise building, the Kornet ATGM has the ability to destroy armored vehicles at a distance of up to 8000 m using the 9M133M-2 anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) with tandem cumulative warheads due to the leveling of the "screen" factor of the terrain.
The analyst noted that thanks to the use of the 9M133FM-3 anti-aircraft guided missile (SAM) with a laser detonator and a high-explosive warhead, the Kornet will be able to hit air targets with speeds up to 900 km/h - drones, helicopters and even Su-25M1 attack aircraft.
Main tactical and technical characteristics of the 9M133FM-3 missile:
- Flight range - up to 10,000 m
- Flight speed, maximum - 320 m/s
- Weight with container - 33 kg
- Container length - 1210 mm
